The first dark moon of 2026. Nestled in the anoretic 28th degree of Capricorn, tickling the outer planets who are closing their big chapters in Pisces (Saturn and Neptune) and Taurus (Uranus), and moving with a posse and potency not seen in years if not decades. This moon prefigures the epochal shifts that are on their way, and prepares each of us who have the privilege of to tune in with cosmic rhythm to claim our sacred role in the creation of the new Earth system. It asks us to put down our phones, move through our fear, open our hearts and minds and look up to find what is within. This is Body Made of Stars for this moment where the tough get going.

This Dark Moon is coming to its nadir in close conjunction with Mercury, Venus, and Mars. This alone is a once-every-32-years event - the last time that happened in Capricorn was in January of 1994, a lifetime ago for many of us. When you add in the Pluto conjunction to the mix, it becomes astonishingly rare. An unprecedented occurrence in modern times, perhaps matched only by the famous “dawn of Aquarius” in February 1962 - which did not include Pluto. So: suffice it to say, this energy is rare, and precious, and ought to be used.

Since the inception of this publication in 2021 I have recognized and maintained that the forces of reaction are raging so hard not because of their ascendancy but because their reign is coming to an end. They are grabbing at every straw and lever to slow the decline of the Psychopatharchy and interrupt the rise of the holoarchic symbiocene that is priming itself to grab the wheel and steer humankind towards a much more peaceful, compassionate, intelligent and regenerative way of being with one another and with the earth. The fear and greed - the Wetiko - afflicts the billionaires and presidents, the war makers and the cops, the CEOs and the engineers who are quietly hijacked into working for outcomes they know are malignant.

Because the current system - represented by Capricorn - is so throughly constructed to maintain the dominance of the diseased, colonial thought forms, the emergence of the new requires divorcing oneself from the fear body of the old. This is the leap we must take, today, as all the inner personal planets cascade from the old way into the new, and cross over into Aquarian Pluto as they do it. Shedding their misgivings and fears. Stepping boldly into the transmutation. With an aim to become the most beautiful and radiant and forgiving versions of our selves we have yet been.

This moon asks us: what will be my work and role in the world to come? What skills must I build and hone to better serve my loved ones and life itself? What can I do to unwire myself from the matrixes fiber optic tendrils that will hijack my nervous and endocrine system with every opportunity I give them?

There is so much potential today. It’s time to embody the virtues we have learned the great masters, human and otherwise. It’s time for the tough to get going and the weird to turn pro.
