What if
What if
One fine winter morning
You awakened & aligned with
The savage simple sweetness
of the greatness of your soul
What if
it was easy
And you breathed it and could know
What if you could do it
Could unite push and pull
And walk the line astride the sine
Both bear and bull
And verdant staff
And pregnant tomb
All of it exploding into green
Viriditas, unstoppable life
The other side of losing is dreams manifest in light
What if that began today
What if you were worth it
What if blessings needed you arrayed to open into being
In patience and praise
What if
On one damn fine winter morning
From slumber
A small god rose
